2016 ACA Reporting Update
You are now able to transmit your forms to Nelco for the 2016 reporting year. In Nelco, you will be able to print and mail forms to employees, as well as e-file forms with the IRS. We will be hosting a webinar on January 23, 2017 that walks through the E-file portal. You can register for that webinar here. A member of Nelco’s team will be on the call to answer questions. Be sure to also check out our Instructions for the E-File Portal article and Pricing and Payment for Nelco 1094/1095 article.
Over the weekend, we released a fix that addressed the tightened data validation imposed this year to correct many of the invalid characters in the transmission to Nelco. This will significantly reduce the numbers of data validation errors on transmission to Nelco. Example: If an address had '123 Sample St.', the period is now an invalid character. We will now be sending '123 Sample St'. We also fixed an issue that was causing an error when an employer is using the 98% Offer Method.
We have a handful of small ACA changes that are currently scheduled for our next build, in the final stages of QA. Some of these changes include an eligibility override data used for ACA calculations, which will assist those who may have processed a demographic change that affected eligibility incorrectly; a new Employer Setting that allows 2C to be reported on Line 16 when Line 14 is 1A (even thought the form indicates no reporting on Line 16 is required when Line 14 is 1A there were many requests to report anyway); and two minor tweaks with LNP calculations centered around classification changes. These release date has not yet been determined, but it will be lo later than this coming weekend.
