Decision support tool provides targeted information to employees to help aid in their enrollment decisions. On the enrollment pages, the employees are provided recommendations and assistance in selecting the plan that is right for them. We have built a "Help Me Decide" tool to allow employee-specific preferences, such as out of pocket costs and accessibility of care, to be weighted when providing recommendations on the best fitting plans.
Decision Support Setup

"Help Me Decide"
Employee can select the "Help Me Decide" link on the medical enrollment page and respond to a series of 5 questions aimed to get personal importance for specific components that will affect the enrollment decision, such as cost of payroll deductions, cost at the time of care, accessibility of care. The employee can use the importance slider under each question to change the weights assigned to each component for a more accurate recommendation on plan. The following questions help perform this recommendation which should be completed based on the relative costs of this plan compared to other plans offered to this company.
A study performed by the Pacific Business Group on Health was used to gather the data used in configuring the "Help Me Decide" tool. For more information on the Pacific Business Group on Health, you can view their website here: http://www.pbgh.org/
