If you wish to make changes to the default text for any email template you may do so by following the instructions below:
- Under the group, access the Settings Tab
- Select the Email Templates link (under the Communications section on the left margin of the page)
- From the email template drop down select the template you wish to customize
- Select “Edit”
- Make edits as desired
- Select “Save”
TIP: A drop down menu is available for you titled Tokens which will contain all the tokens in the system that you can select from in order to build in the macro that will pull in the employee/company personal information. You will see those items that will be used to personalize the email in brackets such as [First Name]. Do NOT try to add tokens manually, make sure you are only adding tokens by selecting them from the menu. Tokens used in other templates may not be available just by manually typing them in and each email only supports the tokens listed in the drop down menu.
It is suggested to test the email transmission with a test participant to ensure your message will translate as expected.
NOTE: Please also use caution when pasting text copied from another source into the email template. The text may at first appear as expected, however upon save it is possible that the text editor will actually remove some formatting. It is recommended to save the changes and then open the editor back up again to see if any undesired changes have occurred.
