Can I import an ee census without ee SSNs?
No, our system uses ee SSNs to identify and differentiate ee records. EE SSNs are required - no matter what. We recommend asking the client or carrier for this data, and do not encourage using fake SSNs.
Are dependent SSNs required?
No, dependent SSNs are not required to import dependent data, but ee SSN will be required to link dependents to corresponding ee records.
Can I delete import files/records?
No, import records can't be deleted. If a record should be disregarded, locate the import on the Import History page and deactivate the import.
Note: If you messed up your import and need to delete all ees/enrollments from the company, you can submit a request into support and we can process this for you.
What happens when a import is deactivated?
Deactivating an import will only hide it from view if it should not be referenced. Deactivating an import does not remove imported data or revert data to the pre-import values. You can view inactive imports by clicking "Displaying Active" at the top of the page and changing to "Inactive".
What happens when we Hide for HR users?
HR users will not be able to view the import performed by a broker.
I forgot to add information to my original census, do I need to use the employee census template again?
No, you can create your own import template using a row based report. You must include the employees's SSN, first and last name. You can then select any field that needs to be updated (class, payroll group, business unit, email, phone number, etc.). Only fields which are available to be mapped in the mapping stage can be imported.
