Details: We started seeing many of our users looking to add coverage for dependents on a group life plan, which prompted this new feature. The dependent benefit is an optional benefit for spouse and/or children that comes in addition to the employee group life plan. Typically, the dependent benefits will be one flat option. For example, spouse gets $10,000 and child gets $2,000.

Topic: Wash Rules Setup
Where: From Plans tab, select a plan, select the Enrollment tab, and then select Wash Rules sub-tab
Details: Carrier wash rules have been moved to their own public page so they can be setup for reporting purposes. The new bill reconciliation report (coming soon) will use the carrier wash rules to determine how benefit additions and terminations affect monthly carrier billing. For example, if carrier wash rule for added coverage = 15th, an employee whose coverage began on the 10th would be billed for the first month of coverage; however, an employee effective on the 20th would not.

Details: New option “Allow same sex spouse” is available which allows users to save a spouse that is the same sex as the employee.
