We think it's time to give commission tracking a makeover
Our customers have told us that commission tracking is handled on stand-alone systems, but most commonly on spreadsheets. Additionally, the accounting arm of agencies are often not informed by producers or account managers about new customers, new lines of business or changes to existing customers. With the advent of online enrollment, the need to have a single place to track policy information has become even more critical (unless you think it is efficient to store policy information in 3 different systems). The following is a summary of our integration strategy. While you may use the integration in other ways, we designed it in a specific manner to solve a multitude of problems.
Design Overview
The data flow was designed to push policy information from Employee Navigator into Agency Bloc. We recommend inputting customers and policies into Employee Navigator, which then flow seamlessly into AgencyBloc upon syncing, streamlining data entry and record creation.
How we designed the integration to work
Employee Navigator's integration was designed so the management of an insurance brokerage could require its producers and account managers to put customers and their corresponding policy information into Employee Navigator. Employee Navigator could be used to house the basic policy data (customer, carrier, plan year begin and policy #) whether or not every customer was using Employee Navigator's enrollment system. We believe that by having the producers and account managers that sold the policies put the information into Employee Navigator you will greatly improve the efficiency of your agency by reducing the need of support staff to hunt through customer files when servicing and renewing an account. Using the integration in this manner will also make the implementation of online enrollment more efficient if you require all new policies sold to be put into Employee Navigator. If this approach is taken, only the rates and eligibility need to be added into Employee Navigator to roll out online enrollment to a customer. The end result is a single point of entry for policy tracking, commission tracking and the set-up and maintenance of online enrollment.
Also note, since many of your competitors are offering online HRIS and enrollment systems, agencies should want to promote an online service to every customer. Who knows, you might even require the agency staff to add the rates and upload copies of policies into Employee Navigator. This could be used as an initial step to get your customers online by informing them everything is available in the portal. This will also expose them to the other features of the portal and make them less likely to change brokers. All this by using AgencyBloc.
About AgencyBloc
AgencyBloc is an online platform for insurance agencies providing a CRM, commissions processing and marketing automation to help agencies better manage their business. Clients can import carrier commission statements just as received from the carriers. Once they're imported, AgencyBloc takes care of the commission splits and payouts. An agency can then double check commission information to uncover potential missed payments. Additionally, use AgencyBloc to generate commission statements for your agents. The integration pushes customer and policy information from Employee Navigator into AgencyBloc. Additionally, when a change is made in Employee Navigator, the updated information can be immediately synced to AgencyBloc, including new clients, groups added, new plans or updated plans added to groups. The more groups you have on Employee Navigator, the greater your time savings will be and the greater the value to you.
There is no cost to use the integration, but you do need a subscription with AgencyBloc.
