Before you request a payroll integration with a connected vendor, you should be pre-auditing your data to ensure you begin with the cleanest information possible in the Employee Navigator system. This will take what typically can be a 20-day integration process, and reduce it down to 3-4 days or less. The less time during the integration that you are spending verifying employee’s enrollments with carriers, their classes in Employee Navigator, or outdated addresses as examples, the quicker you will be able to integrate and go Live.
To most efficiently pre-audit your data, you should be performing the following:
- Run the ‘Bad Export Data’ report within Reports --> Audit reports (bottom right of the page), and clean up any missing information.
2. Clean up all employee records from the ‘Complete Employees Missing HR Required fields’ link on the group’s Homepage in EN.
3. Ensure that all pending insurability requests have been approved or declined if possible within the ‘Review Insurability Requests’ link on your Homepage.
4. Audit the current enrollments in EN vs. recent carrier bills to ensure all employees are enrolled properly with the correct per pay costs.
Based on our review of the 2000+ audits we have done at Employee Navigator, these are the main four items that when not resolved ahead of time, cause an integration process to take much longer than anticipated.
